The spec for this project was to build and support a scaffold off the parapet walls and form temporary roof coverings over two skylight roofs with a hanging scaffold suspended off the beams to allow for replacement of the skylight structure. We also erected a birdcage scaffold under each one to allow safe internal access.
We was approached by the Duxford aviation society to assist them in the restoration of this beautiful Bristol Type 175 Britannia. The curvature of the plane proved to be a challenge but our team quickly mastered this project well ahead of schedule.
This large project in Maida vale came in at over 9,000 square metres of scaffolding, our client set out a strict works schedule to phase the works for the 300 properties in the building to minimise the disturbance to residence, our highly trained work force kept well within these schedules and completed the job within the scheduled programme.
Whilst carrying out other works at this site our client came to us with the request to build a temporary disabled ramp as a matter of urgency we quickly came up with the design and calculations to carry out this highly precise ramp keeping the incline to the specification set to allow safe wheel chair access for the user.
